  • The group is evaluating its participation in the next renewable energy auction -with photovoltaic technology- in the neighboring country

Greenalia, a company that produces renewable energies, has started its activity in Portugal, creating two new companies, Greenalia Power Portugal and Greenalia Solar Power. In this way, Greenalia consolidates its strategy throughout the Iberian Peninsula and take advantage of the synergies with the projects planned in Spain. In addition, Portugal is a country with a great resource capacity and belongs to the same common electricity market.

Greenalia Power Portugal, with direct dependence 100% of Greenalia, will act as an economic unit and independent branch of activity and Greenalia Solar Power will be the subsidiary that will develop the activity in the area of photovoltaic energy production.

In addition, in the coming weeks, Portugal will develop a renewable energy auction with photovoltaic technology in which the Greenalia group is assessing its participation. Portugal is strongly committed to the development of renewable energies, especially with solar energy. The government plans to triple the installed capacity from 572MW in 2018 to 1.6GW by 2021. Between that year and 2030, the target rises to 8.1GW-9.9GW.
