On January 25th, 2019, the MAB intermediation department has positively informed the acceptance of the change in the listing modality of the shares of Greenalia S.A., moving from Fixing to Continuous; based on the market trading volume analysis over the past months.
The operative instruction of this change of contracting modality of shares will be published on Monday 28th with effect date on Wednesday 30th; being this one the first day in which the shares of Greenalia will be negotiated in Continuous open session.
The Fixing contracting modality (in which Greenalia S.A. was quoted up to date), is a system focused on securities with low volume and liquidity, that concentrates the supply and demand of securities at two specific moments of the session, at 12:00 a.m. and at 4:00 p.m. In this way, the volume and liquidity of certain securities are taken into account concentrating supply and demand in time spaces in order to facilitate prices formation.
The changeover to the Continuous contracting modality implies that the values of Greenalia will be negotiated in an open session, with a contract period between 9:00 and 5:30 p.m., in which continuous contracting will be developed, that may be interrupted by volatility auctions.
This change will allow Greenalia’s shares to be traded at a dynamic price (last negotiated price of a security, either through auction or each incoming order in an open session), which will be continuously updated during the session.
The company expects this update to provide greater liquidity to the shares of Greenalia S.A. increasing its attractiveness and commercialization volume.
