In November 2015, Greenalia launched its first residential biomass boiler installation, to supply thermal energy to a residential building located in León; through an energy services contract.
Over the past months, Greenalia Heating & Cooling has carried out the study and execution of the new boiler house that will use biomass (pellets) as fuel, with the aim to replace the old and obsolete gasoil boiler that the building had. This boiler house will cover all the heating and hot water needs, providing 500 kW of power (2 boilers of 250 kW each).
Based on the energy services contract signed with the community of owners, Greenalia Heating & Cooling financed the execution of the new boiler and carried out all the necessary procedures until de project Go-live. During the contract lifetime (10 years), Greenalia will oversee its energy management, as well as the integral maintenance, and the supply of the fuel.
